Hello, I'm Michele and I'm passionate about reflexology and how it can make a positive difference to the way we feel, physically, mentally and emotionally, whatever our level of health and well-being.

I'm a qualified Clinical Hand, Foot & Facial Reflexologist, Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner and Baby Reflex Practitioner.

As a professional member of the Reflexology Association of Australia I abide by their comprehensive code of practice, commit to my ongoing professional development and also I'm fully insured.

I’m a healer with a gentle, calm approach, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions in the most efficient way possible.

I have a special interest in children's and women's health however very happy to treat the whole family.

Clinical Reflexology is a non-invasive, holistic therapy that enables your body to heal in a relaxing, rejuvenating and therapeutic way. Releasing tension often brought about by stressful situations, restoring energy levels, and improving sleep, helping you to feel emotionally and physically stronger.

By applying pressure to reflexes I'm able to detect any imbalances which may be as a result of stress, illness or injury.  Working reflexes in a very specific way helps to initiate a beneficial response in a corresponding area of the body, incorporating acupressure points and advanced techniques to encourage your body to achieve 'homeostasis'.

All the systems of the body are covered on the feet, musculoskeletal, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine, nervous, and lymphatic and whilst being very good for many conditions it is also a deeply relaxing treatment and many clients fall asleep during their treatment.

Reflexology pressure can range from a feather like touch, ideal for babies and those with extremely sensitive feet, to a firm pressure for individuals who prefer a much deeper treatment.

During pregnancy, you go through significant changes that will affect the emotional, hormonal and physiological balance of your body.

Reflexology can help to alleviate discomfort arising from this imbalance and restore the body’s natural state of well-being and prepare you for labour and birth.

During pregnancy regular treatments provide time for intense relaxation, this is beneficial for both you and your baby and can help with the following pregnancy conditions

Nausea & Morning Sickness

Insomnia & Sleep Issues

Relief of Stress & Anxiety

Swelling of feet and ankles

Digestive Issues - Constipation, Heartburn, etc

Backache & sciatica

Newborn Baby Foot

Children's Reflexology is nurturing and gentle and an ideal modality for little feet.  The gentle pressure that is used can help with

Digestion (Colic, Upset Stomachs, Constipation)

Bed Wetting

Children of all ages benefit greatly and as a Baby Reflex Practitioner I am happy to teach parents and carers how to give their children treatments at home.

Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) is award winning reflexology technique developed by Sally Kay BSc(Hons), which focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet. (Unlike Manual Lymph Drainage there is no need for the client to disrobe, only socks and shoes need to be removed)

Although initially, developed whilst working in Cancer Care, to help with lymphoedema, further evidence suggests RLD is useful for the following auto-immune disorders

Lymphoedema elsewhere in the body

Arthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

Lending a Helping Hand

Hand Reflexology is equally as effective as foot reflexology.  There are reflex points on the hands that correspond to every organ, gland and part of the body and by using the unique thumb and finger techniques on these reflexes, the body responds by relaxing, balancing and improving blood circulation.

The hands are not as sensitive as the feet and the reflex points are much deeper, however a hand reflexology treatment can be extremely beneficial.

Hand reflexology can be used at the start or end of a traditional foot reflexology treatment, or as a stand-alone treatment in its own right. It is particularly useful to use when a foot is injured or where a client is unable to elevate their leg.

It may also be used for self-help and I often give clients hand reflexology homework in order that they can use reflexology techniques in-between appointments.

When choosing a therapist, you want to be sure you’re choosing one that you can fully trust to answer all of your questions and concerns. I provide easy-to-understand guides on some of the most common questions and concerns I receive. Below, you’ll will find a list of some frequently asked questions from my clients. Connect with me today for more information.

Loose, casual and comfortable clothing is recommended.  Your treatment will begin with a relaxing leg massage whist lying on the massage table. Other than removing socks and shoes and rolling trousers up to the knee, your clothes remain untouched. I will also place a blanket over you so both warmth and modesty will be retained.

Before we begin I will ask you to complete a simple medical history form and have a chat about what brings you to the appointment.  There will be gentle music playing in the background and you will usually be lying down or in a reclining position. It’s fine to talk during the session and if you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask them. However, you may relax more with a comfortable silence. You might in fact fall asleep which is absolutely fine and a good sign that you’re very relaxed! During the session I will be applying pressure to the reflex points using specific finger, thumb and hand techniques. It will be a firm pressure but should not hurt. If you do experience any discomfort please let me know in order that I can adjust the pressure to suit you.  I may take notes during the session and may return several times to areas I believe require extra attention.

Reflexology should not tickle your foot, it involves various degrees of pressure on certain reflex points – most clients I have treated who have worried about ticklish feet have been able to settle into the treatment without any problems. However, if we find an area on the feet is just ‘too tickly to treat’ we can switch to using hand reflexology in order for you to receive a full treatment.

Reflexology is suitable for all ages and may help bring some relief from the symptoms of a wide range of conditions. After having completed a course of reflexology treatments for a specific condition, many people find it beneficial to maintain health and well-being. Whilst many people use reflexology as a way of relaxing the mind and body and counteracting stress, at the same time many doctors, consultants and other health care professionals recognise reflexology as a well established, respected and effective therapy.
