Hello, I'm Michele and I'm passionate about reflexology and how it can make a positive difference to the way we feel, physically, mentally and emotionally, whatever our level of health and well-being.

Originally from the UK I have been in Australia for 11 years and live in Balgowlah Heights with my better half Giles and our sport crazy 6 year old son Oli.
I'm a fully qualified Clinical Reflexologist and Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage Therapist and a professional member of the Reflexology Association of Australia, as a member I abide by their comprehensive code of practice, commit to my ongoing professional development and also I'm fully insured.

I’m a healer with a gentle, calm approach, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions in the most efficient way possible.

I have a special interest in children's and women's health however very happy to treat the whole family.

Clinical Reflexology is a non-invasive, holistic therapy that re balances your body to achieve healing and wellbeing in a relaxing, rejuvenating and therapeutic way. Releasing tension often brought on by stressful situations, restoring energy levels, and improving sleep, helping you to feel emotionally and physically stronger.

By applying pressure to reflexes on the feet with thumbs and fingers, a trained Clinical Reflexologist is able to detect any imbalances which may be as a result of stress, illness or injury working these reflexes in a very specific way to initiate a beneficial response in a corresponding area of the body, incorporating meridian points (acupuncture points) and advanced techniques to encourage your body to achieve 'homeostasis'.

All the systems of the body are worked on the feet, musculoskeletal, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine, nervous, and lymphatic.

Reflexology is a deeply relaxing treatment and some people even fall asleep during treatment, however you may feel some tenderness in certain areas corresponding to parts of the body which are out of balance, but this is usually momentarily as the therapist will adjust the pressure to work within your tolerance.

Reflexology isn't ticklish and pressure can range from a feather like touch, ideal for babies and those with extremely sensitive feet, to a firm pressure for individuals who prefer a much deeper treatment.

Lending a Helping Hand

Every part of the body, including your organs, is matched by a corresponding reflex point on your hands. Applying pressure to the reflex points on your hands stimulates nerve impulses that travel to the corresponding body area. These impulses produce a relaxation response. As muscles relax, blood vessels open, increasing circulation, which increases the amount of available oxygen and nutrients that get to cells in that part of the body.

Newborn Baby Foot

Children's Reflexology is nurturing and gentle, it is an ideal modality for little feet.  The gentle pressure that is used can help with allergies, digestion (colic, upset stomachs, constipation), insomnia, bed wetting, teething problems and more. Children of all ages benefit greatly and I am happy to teach parents how to give their children treatments at home.

Reflexology & RLD can help with specific symptoms and regular treatments can help your body to sustain optimum health and may be ideal as a preventative measure.
Reflexology treatments can help to boost circulation, eliminate toxins, improve the central nervous system and the immune system.
During a treatment, I will apply pressure to the reflex areas on your feet and note any areas of imbalance. Some areas may be tender depending on the individual but this is usually only transient. Most of my clients have a feeling of relaxation and improved sense of well-being after a treatment.

When choosing a therapist, you want to be sure you’re choosing one that you can fully trust to answer all of your questions and concerns. I provide easy-to-understand guides on some of the most common questions and concerns I receive. Below, you’ll will find a list of some frequently asked questions from my clients. Connect with me today for more information.

Loose, casual and comfortable clothing is recommended.  Your treatment will begin with a relaxing leg massage whist lying on the massage table. Other than removing socks and shoes and rolling trousers up to the knee, your clothes remain untouched. I will also place a blanket over you so both warmth and modesty will be retained.

Before we begin I will ask you to complete a simple medical history form and have a chat about what brings you to the appointment.  There will be gentle music playing in the background and you will usually be lying down or in a reclining position. It’s fine to talk during the session and if you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask them. However, you may relax more with a comfortable silence. You might in fact fall asleep which is absolutely fine and a good sign that you’re very relaxed!During the session I will be applying pressure to the reflex points using specific finger, thumb and hand techniques. It will be a firm pressure but should not hurt. If you do experience any discomfort please let me know in order that I can adjust the pressure to suit you.  I may take notes during the session and may return several times to areas I believe require extra attention.

Reflexology is not a gentle massage, it involves various degrees of pressure on certain reflex points – most clients I have treated who have worried about ticklish feet have been able to settle into the treatment without any problems. However, if we find an area on the feet is just ‘too tickly to treat’ we can switch to using hand reflexology in order for you to receive a full treatment.

Reflexology is suitable for all ages and may help bring some relief from the symptoms of a wide range of conditions. After having completed a course of reflexology treatments for a specific condition, many people find it beneficial to maintain health and well-being. Whilst many people use reflexology as a way of relaxing the mind and body and counteracting stress, at the same time many doctors, consultants and other health care professionals recognise reflexology as a well established, respected and effective therapy.
